Ariel Danielle is a contemporary artist at the start of her journey. Through her usage of portraiture, Danielle pulls from the catalog of her life experiences to bring to life the everyday emotions, hopes, and frustrations in which a young black woman passes through. With an expressionistic lense, the world that we the audience gaze through in her art is filled with community, discomfort and envy, coexistence, and self-love. Each of these things we all share in our own lives. At a politically and socially charged time that we live in, what a relief it is- in fact, what a necessity it is to come back to the everyday life of connection and introspection.

Comparable and influential artists: Influenced by Kerry James Marshall and Alice Neel

Just a few of my picks from her work: -Daydream -Self-indulgence -Picky -Don’t touch my hair -Family Sized

Upon clicking on the link you will be enthusiastically greeted with Ariel showing off a couple of her dance moves. A mix of grace and unapologetically awkward bopping, you’ll be tempted to linger on the homepage for a few loops before checking out the works she has to offer.

A very simple site, once you hover over the menu, a drop-down menu will appear with links to her paintings, an about page, a CV which highlights her achievements and a contact page to get in touch.
